Cookies

KHANSTAR uses a few small files and browser storage that the site needs to work. We do not use advertising cookies.

What we use

• Sign-in: keeps you signed in safely (from Clerk, our sign-in service).
• Language: remembers the language you chose.
• Theme: remembers light or dark mode.
• Time zone: so "today" and your learning days follow your own clock.
• Devices: a random number for this browser, so an account plays on at most two devices at once.
• This notice: remembers that you have read it.
• Video: our video player (Bunny) stores what it needs to play lessons smoothly.
• In your browser only: a question you started typing and your recent searches. They never leave your device.

Choices

These are needed for the site to work, so they are on for everyone. You can delete them in your browser settings; you will then be signed out and the site will forget your language and theme.

Changes

If we ever add optional cookies (for example privacy-friendly visit statistics), we will ask you first and update this page.
